Retrieve the index of a metric value definition by its name

Parameters

name: The value name to locate in the collection

Exceptions

Exception	Description
System.ArgumentNullException	Thrown if no value exists with the provided name.

Remarks

Items are identified using ordinal, case insensitive string comparisons. If no value exists with the provided name an exception will be thrown.

Requirements

Target Platforms: Windows 7, Windows Vista SP1 or later, Windows XP SP3, Windows Server 2008 (Server Core not supported), Windows Server 2008 R2 (Server Core supported with SP1 or later), Windows Server 2003 SP2
