Loupe Server Administration - Mailbox Monitoring
    In This Topic

The Loupe Server can poll a single mailbox to retrieve sessions.  Every message sent to the mailbox will be retrieved and each attachment examined.  If the attachment is a Loupe data file it will be imported into the Server.  Once the message has been examined it is removed from the mailbox.  Any message that doesn't have Loupe data is ignored so spam filtering is unnecessary.

    Configuring a Mailbox

In the Loupe Server Administrator utility go to the Mailbox Monitoring tab.  Even if a mail server has been configured it's necessary to provide complete information in this section.  Once you have specified all of the values you can test it using the Test button.  This will sign into the mailbox and get a list of messages to verify the connection.

The server uses the POP3 protocol to access the mailbox so the specified user name must be to a POP-enabled account and if a port override is specified it must be to the POP service, not the normal SMTP service or IMAP.
